Milani Make It Last Original Natural Finish Setting Spray Jumbo Review
The Insider Score
Makeup setting spraysSix ounces for the dressing table that keeps running out.
Original is the Milani mist we’d choose to keep makeup together while preserving a natural finish. The Jumbo is a better buy once you know you like the spray and reach for it regularly.
I liked the Original for setting my base with a natural finish.

At a glance
Choose Original for a natural finish.
Keep the moving spray at least ten inches away.
Buy Jumbo if you already use up the regular bottle.
The big bottle for people who already use the spray
The best reason to buy Milani Make It Last Jumbo is sitting at the bottom of a nearly empty regular bottle. If you set your makeup most mornings, the 6 fl oz size gets you almost three of the 2.03 fl oz bottles in one. I like the Original for keeping a finished base looking like the base I chose, with a natural finish and a little insurance against makeup moving.
This is the silver Original bottle with the black sprayer. Milani also makes dewy and matte versions. If the idea is to add shine to a powdered face or deliberately dial it down, start by choosing the finish. The word Jumbo tells you how much spray you’re getting. It makes no difference to the finish.
Give the mist room to open
Shake well, close your eyes and hold the bottle at least ten inches from your face, following Milani’s directions. Spray with a moving hand instead of pointing the nozzle at the same spot twice. Distance is what gives the droplets room to spread. Spraying right beside the nose is a quick way to turn a fine mist into a wet patch over concealer.
Leave the face alone while it dries. If you can see an individual drop, give it a moment before trying to fix it with a sponge. Milani also suggests using the spray before makeup as a prep step. I’d start with it at the end of the routine, where it’s easier to decide whether you like what it does to the foundation and powder you already own.
What the bigger size buys
At Milani’s $21.49 price, the Jumbo comes to about $3.58 per fluid ounce. That makes it a good buy for a dressing table or a kit that sees regular use. The smaller size makes more sense for a first bottle, especially if your usual setting spray has a deliberately matte finish.
The brand advertises up to 24 hours of wear. My reason to pick the Original is more practical. It suits the sort of makeup you’d like to keep together through a normal day, and you don’t have to change its finish to get there.
