The Insider Score
Makeup setting spraysA finishing mist for makeup you want to leave alone.
All Dayer is the $19.99 spray we’d choose for hold with a natural-looking finish. Shake it, mist from arm’s length and let the droplets settle before touching the base.
I liked the way All Dayer set my finished base.

A setting spray for makeup you’d like to stop thinking about
What I want from All Dayer is for my foundation, concealer and powder to keep looking like they belong together. I don’t want the last thing I spray on to turn a natural base completely matte. MCoBeauty’s mist suits that brief. It leaves some light on the skin and makes a finished face feel a little less powdery, with hold as the main reason to reach for the bottle.
The black bottle with the pink sprayer is the full-size All Dayer reviewed here. MCoBeauty identifies Skindinavia as the partner behind the formula. If you’ve used setting sprays from that maker, the cooling-mist approach is a useful point of reference. I’d judge this bottle on its own spray pattern and finish over your usual makeup, especially if you normally switch between a very luminous foundation and a matte one.
Distance is the difference between mist and droplets
Shake well. Hold the bottle at arm’s length, close your eyes and mouth, then mist two to four times in an X and T formation, following MCoBeauty’s directions. Keep the nozzle moving as you spray. Holding it close and aiming repeatedly at the same cheek is much more likely to leave a wet patch over the very makeup you wanted to protect.
Let it dry by itself. If the face still feels damp, use that minute to put away your brushes. Pressing a sponge or tissue onto wet setting spray can lift the base before it has had a chance to settle. After it dries, the finish is easier to judge in daylight than under a bright bathroom light.
What to make of the wear claim
MCoBeauty’s up-to-sixteen-hour figure comes from a consumer perception study of 51 people. I’d judge a normal day by how often you reach for powder and whether you still like the finish. That’s easier to compare across two sprays than a figure on the label.
The 115 ml bottle is $19.99, about $5.13 per fluid ounce. I’d buy it for a kit that sees regular use and for days when there’s something better to do than keep checking the mirror.
