It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product

I’d try It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In, original, first if you want the conditioning and detangling step of Davines OI All In One Milk for less. HASK Argan Oil 5-in-1 is the lowest-cost option here. The catch is that none is a verified match for OI’s scent or heat protection, and a cheaper spray needs to suit how you actually style your hair.

Price and size comparison

US one-time purchase prices checked on 3 November 2026, before tax and shipping. The links identify the exact versions priced. Unit prices use the millilitre volumes shown on the product labels; US fluid-ounce declarations can be rounded.

Leave-in Price and size Approx. price per 100ml Best reason to try it Main drawback
Davines OI All In One Milk US$46 / 135ml US$34.07 The original conditioning milk Highest unit price
It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In, original US$19 / 120ml (4 US fl oz) US$15.83 First alternative for the damp-hair routine Still fragranced; not the Lite version
Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Leave-In Conditioner US$11.99 / 250ml US$4.80 Detangling straight after washing Needs very wet hair; heat-protection equivalence unverified
HASK Argan Oil 5-in-1 Leave-In Spray US$6.99 / 175ml (6 US fl oz) US$3.99 Lowest outlay and a silicone-free option Different formula and citrus scent

It’s a 10 is about 54% cheaper per millilitre than Davines at these listings. Its smaller bottle explains part of the US$27 difference at checkout. The brand’s own price is US$22 for the 4oz option, so the retailer matters. It’s a 10’s listing.

How we compared

We compared current US ingredient lists, application directions and prices, then checked a named reviewer’s Davines comparison. Here, “dupe” means a possible replacement for leave-in conditioning, detangling and styling preparation. We have not measured combing force, heat damage or frizz in humidity, or conducted our own texture and scent comparison. The lower-priced picks are alternatives to try, not measured performance matches.

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In: the first one I’d try

The original It’s a 10 follows a familiar routine: apply to towel-dried hair through the mid-lengths and ends, comb through and leave in. Its current ingredient list shares cetearyl alcohol, behentrimonium chloride and panthenol with OI Milk. The order and the rest of the formula differ. The brand also lists thermal protection among its benefits. Current It’s a 10 formula and directions, Davines formula.

There is a direct comparison behind this choice. In her December 2025 review, Paige DiTullio said she owned both products and found It’s a 10 similar in consistency, with a milder scent. That is one reviewer’s experience, and the article contains affiliate links. It supports trying the pairing; it does not prove that today’s bottles perform identically. Her older prices and heat-protection figure are not used here. DiTullio’s comparison.

I’d choose this if you like using a conditioning spray before styling and want a smaller change to the routine. I would not buy it expecting an unscented product. Also check the bottle name: Miracle Leave-In Lite, Plus Keratin and the original are separate products, so a recommendation for one cannot settle how another will feel.

Kristin Ess Weightless Shine: for detangling very wet hair

Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Leave-In Conditioner, 250ml.

Kristin Ess is the option I’d consider if you want to spend around US$12 and use your leave-in as soon as you finish washing. Its instructions are unusually specific: apply five to ten sprays while hair is still very wet. The brand advises against waiting until hair has partly dried. That is a meaningful difference from a towel-dried OI Milk routine. Kristin Ess directions.

The current brand list begins with water, C11-15 Pareth-12 and fragrance, followed by panthenol and glycerin. This is not the same opening as Davines’s formula. There is enough overlap in the intended conditioning and detangling job to make it a reasonable budget candidate, but not enough evidence to promise OI’s creamy feel or its scent.

Its appeal is the amount you get for the money: 250ml at a fraction of OI’s unit price. The compromise is routine fit. If you usually remember your leave-in after your hair has started drying, I’d pick one with directions that accommodate that habit. I also would not treat this listing as proof that it replaces OI’s stated heat protection.

HASK Argan Oil 5-in-1: the US$6.99 budget choice

Current HASK Argan Oil 5-in-1 Leave-In Spray, 175ml.

HASK’s current spray is silicone-free, whereas OI Milk’s list includes amodimethicone. HASK lists water, glycerin and argan oil at the start of its formula, plus conditioning ingredients further down. It can be used on wet or dry hair after shaking. HASK product details.

I’d choose it if your priority is an inexpensive detangler, particularly if you deliberately avoid silicones. That preference does not make it a better conditioner, and removing silicone does not establish a weightless result. This is a different formulation, not OI Milk in a cheaper bottle.

HASK states heat protection up to 400°F/205°C; Davines states 446°F/230°C. Those are separate brand claims, not a head-to-head test or recommended styling temperatures. HASK also has a citrus fragrance, so it is a poor choice if the reason you keep buying Davines is the OI scent. HASK’s retailer details, Davines’s specification.

What would make a poor substitute?

An oil chosen solely for shine does not necessarily replace a leave-in conditioning spray. Before buying another OI product, check which step you need to replace. Our Davines guide separates the range.

I would also reject a “same formula” claim based on a few shared ingredients. The useful question is whether the alternative makes your normal wash and styling routine easier at a price you can sustain. Keep the rest of that routine consistent when assessing it, and judge detangling and the dry finish separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the closest cheaper alternative to Davines OI Milk?

It’s a 10’s original Miracle Leave-In is our first research-based pick. A named reviewer has compared its consistency with OI Milk, but we have not verified an exact current-formula match ourselves.

Which option costs the least?

HASK Argan Oil 5-in-1 has both the lowest bottle price and lowest approximate cost per millilitre in this comparison. That does not establish cost per use, because the amount needed can differ.

Can I use Kristin Ess in the same way as OI Milk?

Follow Kristin Ess’s own directions: it is intended for very wet, freshly washed hair. Do not automatically carry over Davines’s towel-dried-hair instructions or spray count.

Do these smell like Davines OI Milk?

We have not established a scent match for any of them. If OI’s fragrance is the part you most want to keep, sample the alternative before committing to a full replacement.
